Greetings Friend,

I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself so you can get a feel of who I am, where I have come from, and how I might best serve your needs. First of all, I have been a midwife for 25 years and love it! During that time I’ve helped over 1000 babies be born and experienced many variations on “average” birth.

It is delightful to see how often things that appear to be abnormal come out just fine with patience, good nutrition and a watchful eye. It’s also been reassuring how many times a situation that is puzzling and needs medical attention has a valid explanation later on with hindsight. I have been Certified with the North American Registry of Midwives for 9 years, am a faculty member of Aviva Institute—a midwifery training program, and currently serve as Education Chair for the Texas State Midwifery Board in Austin, TX

My husband and I have been married 32 years and we have 3 grown children who were all born at home. Our 3rd baby had some “mild” complications, but she would not have made it if we had not had a trained and competent midwife with us. That is one of the things that inspired me to begin my training and apprenticeship and to work for many years to get educational standards for midwives in Texas.

It is my goal to continue to provide this birth option for women in the East Texas area. While we can’t guarantee that every woman will get to birth as she wants, we can assure her that we will be there for her and with her. Our prenatal visits are friendly and individual while ensuring you that you get to know all the midwives and students on Staff. It is our desire to be flexible enough to fulfill your Birth Plan and meet your expectations as much as we possibly can. Our fee is $2,400.00 to $4,800.00 and it depends on where you give birth, whether or not you want us to file on your insurance or if you pay early to get a cash discount. Labs are added and can be from $120-$200.
